Covid19 - Temporary amendment to our booking conditions

Today the Scottish Government has released the first details of Scotland’s routemap through and out of the Coronavirus outbreak. It details 4 stages of easing of restrictions which begin with stage 1 on 28th May.

There are no firm dates given for when the further stages and relaxation of restrictions will begin as this obviously depends on how the infection rates are affected.
Holiday accommodation is included in stage 3 of the easing of restrictions - so our cottages will remain closed until clear advice is given on when we can safely reopen.

We will continue to keep in contact with guests and update as soon as we have further information.

Changes to your booking due to the coronavirus 

Our guests wellbeing is our top priority. In light of the UK government's latest advice and due to the ever changing circumstances surrounding the coronavirus and the uncertainties that come with it, we understand that our customers may need to make changes to their travel plans because of it. 

For existing bookings with an arrival date on or before 30th June 2020, guests may request a change to the start date of their booking by up to 12 months, subject to availability. We will waive any administration charges for the change but depending on the cost of the new booking, you may have to make a further payment with respect to the cost of accommodation.

*Customers will need to contact us at least 48 hours before their scheduled arrival date.

I’m due to arrive at a property in the next few weeks, can I get a refund?

If you have paid for your holiday in full you can move your holiday dates to a later date free of charge if your arrival date is on or before the 30th June 2020 or if you wish to cancel and have insurance in place we will provide you with any receipts or paperwork required for you to make a claim.

For bookings starting after 1st July 2020, our standard terms and conditions apply.

How can I contact you to transfer my booking?
Please email me at with your preferred dates and I will get back to you as soon as possible.

I'm due to pay my final balance what should I do?

For holidays due to commence from 1st July to 31st August - If you are due to pay your final balance we will extend the due date to 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. We will email guests who this change applies to with further information.

For holidays due to comment after 31st August - We hope that you will be able to go on holiday as normal during this time. However, we are continuing to monitor government guidance and will review our policies in line with this at least every 3 weeks.

If the government impose travel restrictions for the period you wish to go on holiday, we will work to get to a suitable resolution at the right time.
