The Moray Firth is renowned for having its own microclimate thanks to the warming effect of the gulf stream and being sheltered from the worst of the weather by the mountains of the west coast and Cairngorms so if you are looking for a break to get away from things during the winter months why not consider Burghead.
OK, it can still be cold outside but Clavie cottage will still be lovely and cosy thanks to all the insulation and new central heating system!
Theres no lack of things to see and do in the area during the winter months. The magnicent coastline, forest walks, pretty villages and towns, great pubs, restaurants and golf courses are still here. Why not take of advantage of the excellent boutique shopping opportunities locally including Brodie Countryfare, Johnstons Cashmere and Baxters.
The scenery in the highlands of Scotland is stunning in Winter and of course there is no better time to visit to try the winter sports. Aviemore and the Cairngorm national park are only a 1 hour drive from Burghead so ideal for anyone looking to test their skills on the slopes!
