How much deposit is required?

We require a deposit of £100 per week to secure your holiday dates. This must be paid within 7 days of booking. The remainder becomes payable 1 month before the start date of your holiday. Bookings made within 1 month of arrival are required to be paid in full at time of booking.

How do I pay?

We can accept payment by UK cheque, direct bank transfer or credit/debit card. Credit/debit card details can be provided securely online or by phoning us with the details. Full details of how you can pay your deposit/balance will be sent after initial booking.

What happens if I need to cancel my booking?

Firstly please let us know as soon as possible in writing (by email or letter).

If the cancellation is made more than 1 month prior to arrival we will refund and monies paid MINUS the inital deposit.

If the cancellation is made less than 1 month prior to arrival you will be liable for the full balance of the hire charge. We will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and if successfull we will refund you all monies paid MINUS the initial depost.

We strongly recommend that you obtain appropriate holiday insurance to cover you for any liability due to cancellation.

Is there any baby equipment I can hire?

We have a travel cot & high chair available free of charge . Please let us know at time of booking if you need the cot or high chair.

Is it possible to bring our dog?

We permit 1 well behaved dog in Clavie cottage. There is a charge of £15 per week or short break. The following conditions must be observed:

  • Dogs are not allowed upstairs, on beds or furniture and must not be left alone in the property.
  • Any hairs must be removed from furniture & carpets prior to departure.
  • Please bring you dogs own bedding, bowls etc.

The cottage is intensively cleaned & aired on departure to ensure that the cottage is spotless for our next guests.

What time can we arrive & when do we have to leave?

You may gain access to the cottage any time from 4pm on the day of arrival. Please do not arrive any earlier than this as we need time to clean & deal with any maintenance issues following the departure of the previous guests. On your day of departure we request that you vacate the property by 10am.

Are there any extra charges for electricity etc?

Our prices are inclusive of all electricity & oil which provides the central heating & hot water.

Are bed linen & towels included?

Our prices include all bed linen, towels (1 bath towel & 1 hand towel per guest) and tea towels. Towels must not be used outside the property so please bring your own beach/swimming towels. All duvets & pillows within the cottage are hypoallergenic polyester hollowfibre.

How do I find the cottage & where do I pick up the keys?

When we receive your final payment we will send you a receipt & full directions to the cottage. We use a key safe to make it easy to collect keys. This requires an access code which will be included in your information pack.
